London Calling!
We were in London recently for the Transform Awards Europe 2026 and came home with a Gold for Parthalán Place and a Bronze for La Rousse Foods.
Two very different projects. Both close to us.
Parthalán Place was never just about naming a space. It was about helping a place find its voice.
Tallaght is one of Ireland’s largest urban areas, with a strong sense of identity and pride. But at its centre, three cultural institutions sat side by side without a shared name or story to bring them together. Through conversations with residents, schools, historians and stakeholders, one thing became clear. People didn’t want something imposed. They wanted something real.
In looking back, we found it.
Parthalán. A figure from early Irish mythology, said to be among the first to settle in the area. A story of arrival, of beginnings, of community.
The name Parthalán Place doesn’t try to explain everything. It opens something up. It invites curiosity. It gives people a reason to look again at where they live and discover something that was always there.
Seeing it now in use, spoken, shared and owned, is what matters most.

Simply Delicious
La Rousse Foods was a different kind of challenge. A well-established business with a strong reputation, but a brand that hadn’t quite kept pace with the quality of what they do.
The opportunity wasn’t to reinvent. It was to reveal.
To bring clarity and confidence. To reflect the care, expertise and craft already within the business. Sometimes the most powerful move is simply to say things properly.
Awards are not why we do the work. But they are a useful moment to take stock. The standard in the room was incredibly high, so to come away with a Gold and a Bronze, as a small independent studio, means a lot.

What’s interesting is how different these projects are on the surface, yet how similar they feel underneath. In both cases, the work comes from the same place. Take the time to understand. Find what’s true. Express it clearly.
Thanks to South Dublin County Council and the people of Tallaght for the trust and openness on Parthalán Place. And to La Rousse Foods for the opportunity to work closely with a brilliant team. And to everyone who chatted, challenged and collaborated along the way.
Parthalán Place is now part of Tallaght. A name that was always there, just waiting to be found.
And a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful work isn’t about creating something new. It’s about revealing what already exists.
Making space for meaning
At Alkamee, we help brands sound more like themselves. Not by bolting on "tone" at the end, but by starting with clarity, cutting the clutter and keeping the heart. When you remove the filler, the message breathes. When the message breathes, people feel it.That’s not fluff. That’s the real work.
